 Stephen J. De Martini, CPA Stephen J. De Martini is the principal of De Martini & Company, which purchased the practice of Baldanzi & Company in 2010. Prior to the purchase, Stephen held CEO and CFO positions in a number of companies and was associated with both a regional and a national CPA firm for more than 25 years. As a partner in the regional accounting firm for over 14 years, his duties included tax planning for corporate, partnership and individual clients, as well as heading the Audit / Review Department for more than 12 year. With over 35 years of experience as a CPA, Stephen's areas of expertise include individual, corporate and partnership taxation, and auditing. He graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. Frank A. Baldanzi, CPA Frank Baldanzi is the former principal of the accounting firm of Baldanzi & Company. Founded in 1985, the firm has grown to serve the San Francisco Bay Area and Peninsula. Prior to opening the firm, Frank was associated with the San Francisco office of a national CPA firm. His particular area of expertise is estate and income tax planning. Frank is a third-generation San Matean. After graduating from Serra High School, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of San Francisco in 1975. He currently maintains his home in San Francisco. Kimberly W. Fusch, CPA, EA Kim Fush joined De Martini & Company in January 2012 after owning and operating a successful tax practice on the San Mateo coast for 15 years. She graduated with honors from Mississippi College in 1985, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Kim, who is also known as The Tax Lady, became an Enrolled Agent in 1996 and a Certified Public Accountant in 2007. Her specialties include small business taxation for individuals, partnerships and corporations, and tax planning for individuals. Catherine M. Kenny, EA Catherine Kenny has been with De Martini & Company since 2000. Cathi, as she prefers to be called, specializes in individual and small business taxation and is proficient in the setup and use of many popular computerized accounting systems for small businesses and personal financial management. She has been an Enrolled Agent since 1991. Cathi was born and raised in Pennsylvania and currently resides in Millbrae with her husband and their four children. Judy Tyson, CPA Judy Tyson joined De Martini & Company in 2008. She brings with her 20 years of financial experience in wholesale distribution, public accounting and non-profit industries. Judy enjoys working with individuals in tax preparation and is accomplished in setting up internal accounting controls and financial systems and analysis for small businesses. A San Mateo native, Judy graduated from Aragon High School in 1983 before earning her Bachelors degree in Accounting from California State University Hayward in 1987 and her CPA license in 1993. She currently maintains her home in San Carlos with her husband and their three sons. Barbara Scholz Barbara Scholz joined De Martini & Company in 2001. She is a California Tax Education Council Registered Tax Preparer specializing in individual and trust taxation. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she graduated from Mercy High School in Burlingame and went on to earn Bachelors degrees in both International Relations and German from the University of California, Davis in 1991. Barbara attends continuing education courses in taxation and accounting at the College of San Mateo and through Spidell Seminars in order to stay current on taxation issues. Georgia Thiemann, EA Georgia Thiemann has worked with Frank Baldanzi, former principal of De Martini & Company, for over 20 years. She now works on an “as needed” basis, specializing in Estate Taxation. A graduate of the University of California, Davis with a BS in Mathematics, Georgia has been an Enrolled Agent since 1986. She received her graduate degree in taxation from California State University Hayward in 1996. Lauree Murphy, EA, CFP Lauree Murphy joined De Martini & Company in January 2012, bringing with her four years of experience in taxation. Prior to taking up tax and financial planning for individuals, her background was in accounting, financial planning, budgeting and analysis in the corporate world. Lauree spent more than 20 years working in finance positions at both large and small companies, including as Controller for two startups. She holds a BS in Business Administration from Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, an MBA from Santa Clara University, and a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from the University of California - Irvine. Rumi Radeva, EA Rumi Radeva joined De Martini & Company in January 2012. She brings seven years of accounting and tax experience with international and US companies. Rumi, born and raised in Bulgaria, was educated abroad and has a Bachelor and Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Economics. She is a certified Enrolled Agent and is currently studying for the California CPA exam. Her specialties include taxation of individuals and partnerships as well as auditing. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and being with her husband. Christian De Martini Christian De Martini joined De Martini & Company in December 2011, bringing with him four years of business experience ranging from accounting assistant and tax preparation to sales. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Christian received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Regis University. He is currenlty finishing his Accounting degree at Regis and will soon begin studying for the California CPA exam. Janine M. Riddell Janine Riddell is the Office Manager, overseeing the day-to-day administrative functions of the office. She has been with the Company since 2005, and for the previous five years was the Office Manager for an investment advisory firm in Burlingame. It is Janine's responsibility to keep in close contact with staff and clients to ensure that all administrative procedures and client needs are completed in a timely manner. Janine was born in San Francisco and raised on the Peninsula. She currently resides in San Mateo with her husband and son. |
